Getting Started with WHMCS Cloud
Overview
WHMCS Cloud is not the WHMCS provisioning module:
- WHMCS Cloud provides a fully-managed version of the WHMCS billing platform, so hosting providers and agencies can focus on their businesses.
- The WHMCS provisioning module allows you to provision WebPros Cloud products from within a self-hosted WHMCS installation.
WHMCS Cloud includes automatic updates, backups, and infrastructure management, so you can focus on configuring your business settings rather than maintaining servers. After you complete the purchase process, the simple setup process helps you get up and running quickly.
Accessing WHMCS Cloud
Log in to the WHMCS Admin Area using the credentials and URL that you received when you purchased WHMCS Cloud.
For more information and steps to log in to the WHMCS Admin Area, see Log In to the Admin Area.
Setting Up Your Custom Domain
When you purchase WHMCS Cloud, you receive an automatic URL that allows you to immediately access WHMCS. This URL uses the following format:
xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.package.webpros.cloud
Most WHMCS Cloud users will want to configure DNS to use a own custom domain name instead. To do this, create a CNAME record that points your domain to the WebPros-provided automatic URL.
For more information, see Setting Up DNS for WHMCS Cloud.
Getting Started Wizard
When you first log in, WHMCS displays the Getting Started Wizard. This tool helps you configure the most important settings for your billing system.
The Getting Started Wizard allows you to quickly configure:
- Your company’s basic information, address, and logo.
- Payment processing using PayPal®, Stripe™, bank transfers, or mail-in payments.
- Domain registration with supported registrars.
- Domain pricing for selected TLDs.
- Your first hosting server.
- MarketConnect products to sell.
Complete the Getting Started Wizard to set your basic WHMCS configuration. You can modify these settings later as your business grows.
For more information, see Getting Started Wizard.
Set Up WHMCS
After completing the Getting Started Wizard, you can configure important features to set up WHMCS for your business.
For a helpful overview of important WHMCS features that we recommend setting up immediately, see Get Started with WHMCS.
